2021 Tree, Plant, and Repellent Sale

Order Native Wildflowers, Prairie Grasses and Bare Root Trees from Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District!

Scott County Soil & Water Conservation District is selling hardy Bare Root Tree Seedlings, Native Prairie Plants and Deer/Rabbit Repellant. Money from these fund-raising sales helps the District support local scholarships, educational programs and other community projects. Now is your opportunity to order!

Orders will be accepted prepaid until March 26, 2021 for Bare Root Trees and Native Plants.

2021 Scholarship for High School Seniors

Application deadline:  Friday, February 12, 2021

Scott County Soil & Water Conservation District, in conjunction with Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI), is sponsoring the 2021 Scholarship Award. Enclosed you will find an information sheet and application form.  (application forms are also available on the District website at: www.scottcountysoilandwater.com or www.cdiowa.org)

The top three scholarships will be awarded at the state level in the amounts of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000.  Winners from the remaining six regions will each receive $500. In addition, Scott SWCD has pledged two – $1,000 scholarships to two qualified Scott County High School Seniors.  These scholarships are presented to area high school seniors to be used for their first year of education on the college level while pursuing programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources.
